Check In

Check in was quick and efficient, the COVID procedures were clear and well set out - I really like the hand sanitiser they had out!

Room

I had upgraded to a King Deluxe with an airport view - the room was quite big and well appointed with a big desk and plenty of space to spread stuff out!  The bathroom was bright and whilst a little small it had everything you needed, including counter space. The shower is over the bath and is a little tight but that would be my only issue with the room. The towels were big and fluffy, and there were a few of them.

The bed is really comfortable, and the duvet and pillows and really comfy - I slept like a baby!  Even with a view towards the airport, it was a quite and the curtains pulled to the edge so the room was a dark room. It had a small fridge in the room if you wished to put your own stuff in there.

Service

Service was efficient and friendly, both at check-in/check-out and the restaurant. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble.

Dining

I ate in the restaurant and the menu would suit most. The rose wine I had was a bit tart but it was adequate. The restaurant looks out over the airport (well car park and airport) but it had a bit of a buzz about it.  I just had some wedges as I wasn't that hungry but they were tasty enough - you cant really get them wrong!! There were a few people in there - not as busy as I would have expected. You could also walk to a Chinese restaurant, and some take away places if this one did not have what you were looking for.

Location

This is one of the closest hotels to Heathrow Terminal 5, and I think you can get the Heathrow Hoppa to it.  However, if you dont have much luggage I would recommend the 423 bus - which you get from stand 5 at T5 and it drops you off at Compass Centre (BA) which is right outside the hotel.  Getting back to the aiport in the morning was also easy as the bus stop was right across the street.  The bus was £1.55 each way which is cheaper than the Hoppa and was very easy to use. I also did not find it busy at all which is sometimes the criticism of the local buses - just be aware that the free bus zone has been suspended by Heathrow so you have to pay wherever you are going.

Overall

I really liked this hotel - I have stayed in most of the Heathrow hotels, Hilton and IHG selections mainly and this is by far the better.  It was easier to get to than most, and had the comfiest bed of any of them. The restaurant was fine - nothing fancy but adequate and the staff were friendly. I will now make this my go to hotel for all of those reasons!
