After staying at couple of lousy hotels the last couple of stays, it was really refreshing to end 2017 with a stay at such an awesome hotel. While our room was a bit smaller than your typical North American hotel rooms, we still had a very comfortable stay. During our stay, we did not hear what was going on in our neighboring rooms. Everything about this hotel felt SOLID including the walls.

One downside of this hotel is that the elevators seem to be really slow. I noticed that out of four elevators, only three was working. Not sure if one elevator being out of service was affecting the speed but I've never waited so long for the elevator to arrive as I did at this h

Check In

There are two front desks at this hotel, one in each tower. We checked in at the north tower where the warm and friendly agent welcomed me to the hotel and after checking my id and looking up my reservation, she thanked me for being a SPG Gold Member before processing my check-in. Our room and the majority of the hotel operations is in the south tower. Had I down that ahead of time, I would have gone directly to the south tower.

Room

Our room was comfortable but smaller than most standard North American hotel rooms. The room and floor layout by the elevator confirmed that room 2613 was the smallest room on the floor. Other than the small size, the room was clean, the beds almost as good as Westin's Heavanly beds.

1_IMG_1538.JPGIMG_1540.JPGIMG_1541.JPGIMG_1542.JPGIMG_1543.JPGThe room had two chairs, desk and office chair, and a mini fridge. I didn't get the size of the TV but it was much bigger than what is in most hotel rooms. The nightstand between the two beds had power sockets on both sides which made charging devices as phones while lying in bed really convenient.

Dining

Since we had a club room, we had access to the Sheraton Club where we had breakfast each morning and also attended the evening appetizer between 5-7PM each evening. The breakfast was continental with lots of assorted fresh cut fruits, assorted pastries, assorted breads and bagels, jams, cheese and cold cuts, and hard boiled eggs.

The evening appetizer consisted of assorted fresh fruit platter, assorted veggie and dip, smoked salmon, a salad cup, dessert, and three hot dishes which changed daily.

Outside of the meal times, snacks were available for self service.

Location

This hotel is located pretty much about a 1 - .5 miles from many of Downtown Vancouver's popular attractions. We walked 90% of the time during our 4 night stay. The SkyTrain's Vancouver City Centre Station is only 0.6 miles away from the hotel and Canada Place 1 mile away.
