Fairmont Baku Flame Towers

The building itself deserve a report , as its quite amazing

 i was there few weeks before xmas

The desk agent was really nice , explaining all details , offered to escort me  to the room , showed me all details and features and ensured I had everything I need

As welcome gift i received cakes , jam , fruits , water and a covid kit

There was one magazine in russian , its still in my luggage and i havent opened it yet , i probably will during another trip

Quite big , its 50 sqm , that’s more than I need . However I expected better from the brand in general

Booked Deluxe King Room City View and got same type but with sea view , no real upgrade this time

The view from my room , which is the main reason why you should chose this side

Be aware that if located in lower floors , you might hear noise from the road below if window is open

The sea view is amazing cause not only building is tall , but it's on the top of a hill that gives you a good panorama of the city

In the bedroom you can control the lights but also curtains and window , you just press once to open or close fully

it was a bit tricky cause buttons are small and close from each other , so by accident i opened the window and i understood it only the day after , so i had a night enjoying noise coming from outside

There are similar in bathroom about lights , plus you could dim the bathroom window

There is a TV as usual , pretty standard i would say , not a huge smart tv as you can find in some recent hotels unfortunately

Due to geography and history , you have lot of channels in russian or turkish , but also other international channels you can find everywhere ,

So it was really not super exotic for me , but this hotel is clearly designed for foreign visitors

I wasnt lucky that time, i forgot my swimsuit , but it looks nice and was empty when i came

I will try next time for sure

i went only to the bar located in ground floor for few drinks , due to covid they had to close at 10pm

Unfortunately i was too late for the bar located at the top , but i will come back and try next time

Breakfast was good , it wasn’t just a basic buffet , the crew was proactive

Once i was seated the crew came and took my orders , then brought it to my table

I could ask for breakfast to be delivered in my room but i decided to try in restaurant to get better overview for this report/review

€150 / $170 per night is quite low for fairmont , price is inline with similar high end hotels in the city , i will come back for sure
