This reviews my fifth stay of four nights at Le Bristol after our week-long canal barge trip in the Loire Valley. It was again perfectin, actually even MORE perfection since we were upgraded to the gargantuan top-floor Paris Suite featuring a view of the Eiffel Tower. Just wowed me over the moon! Again the kindness of everyone we interacted with was notable and so welcome.

Check In

Super fast and super courteous. We were escorted to the suite in no time, and our luggage already had been delivered. No idea how they do this.

Room

As usual, there was a welcome bottle of Le Bristol's own champage, a macaron tower, box of chclates, enormous fruit bowl, and welcome notes from management and my super travel guru.

I think I read somewhere that this suite comprised 2100 sq. ft. Which would make it 400 square feet larger than our house (back when we had a house).

Double sink in master bath (of course), modest-sizerain shower, huge tub with Hermes toiletries (which I forgot to bring home!) toilet/bidet closet, view, rattan chair, heated towel rack, linen and cotton terry towels and marble, lots and lots of marble. AND a marble steam room.

A half bathroom. Small but entirely furnished kitchen including a wine fridge/closet thingie. So many large closets things got lost. The dressing room had a view over the Paris rooftops. 

Large sitting room with two couches, two armchairs,coffee table, two credenzas, chandelier, desk, and chair. Dining room seating six, chandelier, and more credenzas. AND A VIEW OF THE EIFFEL TOWER!

The bedroom was enormous, surprize. King bed, roll away, couch, easy chairs, two antique lady-prettify things (there's a name, I know), chandelier. It even had its own sweet foyer.

I realize I'm sounding like a naif but it was just so gloriously wonderful and comfortable.

Service

Kindly, competent, generous and never flumoxed. I have the feeling if I asked for a French water dog, they'd have delivered one on a gigantic silver tray.

Dining

We dined twice at 114 Foubourg, their one-star Michelin restaurant. The three-star Epicure still was closed. Difficult to imagine meals that could surpass ours but maybe possible.

Location

Just around the corner from the French presidential palace so ... excellent security. In the 8th arr.
