This hotel far exceeded our already very high standards. There was nothing that warranted even the smallest of complaint and the personalized service was nothing short of incredible. Decor throughout the hotel was stunning and the Artist in Residence concept added a lovely touch.
Check In
After a 6 hour flight into Dubai from Thailand, we arrived at The Palm around 5AM expecting that we would have to sit through a short wait before being allowed to check into the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, our bags were whisked away and the check-in agent kindly let us know that we could head up to our room immediately. Given that I am an FPC Platinum member, I am thinking that this had helped but we were directed towards a large suite with a beautiful balcony overlooking the swimming pool and beach with a view of the Dubai skyline.
Room
The suite that we stayed in left us wanting for nothing. The living area was appointed with stylish furniture and a variety of books covering the history of Dubai - the Nespresso machine was a great touch that made us feel like we were at home!
The bedroom opened up onto the balcony and had a walk in closet leading into the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel remembered that I have a preference for a foam pillow and these were already sitting on the bed.
I am incredibly picky about hotel bathrooms and had zero complaints over this at The Palm. The bathroom was spotless and was beautifully appointed with a large soaker tub (loofah, bath salts and bubbles included!!), rain shower, seperate toilet area and large sink.
Service
Service was spectacular with the hotel employees recalling our names and preferences throughout our 3 night stay.
Dining
Our breakfast was included for the nights that we stayed and we enjoyed a buffet breakfast at Flow Kitchen. The service was unbelievable with the staff recalling the table that we preferred and details like what juice we liked. I really enjoy Turkish Delight and mentioned this to our server who promptly provided me with a box to take away with me to enjoy throughout the day - yes, Turkish Delight is part of the breakfast buffet! You can enjoy breakfast either inside or at a table out beside the pool depending on preference and your tolerance for the hot weather.
For dinner, we tried Seagrill which has an extensive wine selection and shisha menu. The mussels that I had were wonderful.
Pool
Overall
Overall one of the best hotels that I have stayed at globally - highly recommend this hotel and would go out of my way to stay here again!
