Stats

What is your Priority Club status?

Spire Royal Ambassador

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Very average

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Paid for a KIng Club Room with Breakfast and got what I paid for.

How are the rooms?

Waste of money to upgrade to club as rooms, (unless you are desperate for free wine in the evening) room can clearly be used for either standard or club, mediocre mini bar and toiletries, bathroom has shower and bath.  Room was quiet though, backing onto garden.  No room service or restaurant available over 3 nights as there was some kind of failure.

How is the exec. lounge?

Small, overcrowded, finger buffet food consisted of two warmed items and one cold that runs out in a nano second if there are families present.  Two macs, some sofas and I think about 10 to 12 2/4 seater tables.  Took one look at breakfast and the fact there were no tables and turned around and went to the restaurant for breakfast which was substantial with excellent with friendly staff.

What was good and what was bad?

No upgrade, two free bottles of water in room, mediocre lounge and room - not worth the extra , no restaurant or hot room service food.  Good breakfast staff and guys in lounge friendly too.  Reception poor and tried to charge me for newspapers I didnt ask for.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

No idea as paid.  Go across the road to the Holiday Inn, they have a car park, a lot more room and if you just need to sleep will be more than adequate.
