Overall

This hotel is a relatively new Courtyard. It is located in a commercial office district, so it makes it a good option here for those visiting Vodafone, Wipro and many other media and tech companies.

This hotel is not the best located for tourist sites. However, given the cheap taxi prices in Bucharest, you could still consider it. Just remember to avoid traffic periods. Also consider public transport.

Here you can sort of see how many offices are around:

There is a mall nearby. However, I expecte overall that it is very quiet in this area of towns during the weekend. I noticed many F&B outlets are only open M-F.

Check In

Of the five hotels I stayed at in Bucharest, this was the only one that managed toi get the web check in to work as it should, at least in its minimum form. I had to walk up to the desk, present an ID and my key was activated. I was thanked for being and ambassador and was informed about my upgrade to a Superior Room. Do not get excited, this is a Courtyard. ::)

I was not offered a platinum amenity.

However, I was told that breakfast is offered from 06:30-10:30(?).

I am not interested in breakfast, so I will check if I can get the points instead.

Room

The room completely meets my expectations. It is standard issue, new Courtyard. Enough space to meet the needs of two persons.

There is a decent sized desk for work for a couple hours.

The bed is comfortable.

There were plenty of outlets. There was only 1 USB-A outlet on one side of the bed. The television had, like all of the other Bonvoy properties in this city, a good selection of internally television programs, including regular English-language non-news programming.

It is difficult to see, but I did receive an extra amenity of a bottle of water, orange juice and a small bottle of prosecco. A nice touch!

I generally liked that there was enough direct and indirect light.B5C8CB3D-B9DC-4C81-B662-F945F6EF9E83.jpeg----

I appreciated the mult-use toiletries. The quality of the items seemed good.F053E56D-3668-4598-802A-7280EFA07159.jpeg

The room had a normal sized ironing board, iron and hair dryer. Additionally there was a Lavazza Blue coffee maker and hot water kettle.

Dining

I took the photos fairly early on in the evening.

However, the bar/restaurant did fill up fairly nicely over the course of the evening. It seemed to me that a locals met up here with their colleagues after work or with their visiting international colleagues. In any case it was refreshing compared to the soullessness of most hotel bars and restaurants.

The bartenders werte friendly. The prices were higher than normal in Bucharest, but more ore less in line with what one expects in a hotel.

Gym

The gym is really small and is only really useful if you want to do treadmills.
