Context

Had an early morning flight so decided to relocate here for my final night. Had a corporate rate that was < 3000 THB.

Location

It’s not super close to the airport! It’s a 10-15 minute drive.

The hotel itself is really big. It’s a u-shaped design that has 2 lobby floors (ground floor is a swimming pool and a restaurant, and the 1st floor — arrival floor — has a deli restaurant as well as a Let’s Relax). There’s 7 floors, though when I visited, the 7th floor is still under construction. Each floor had over 100 rooms. The ground floor rooms had a patio and other courtyard-facing rooms have a balcony. Staff told me it had a > 90% occupancy on the random Monday night I stayed, and indeed I saw quite a lot of people everywhere.

To the west and south of the hotel are two pretty big shopping malls. There are lots of food outlets from the usual McDonald’s / Burger King to a local eatery that closes at 20:00. There’s also a big and clean supermarket with cheap (60-70 thb) mangos. They all take credit cards.

As the previous poster noted, there’s a shuttle bus between the airport and the hotel. It’s once every hour — xx:30 departure from the hotel, xx:00 departure from the airport. Make sure you register for the shuttle — my 05:30 shuttle was packed and there were three shuttles. It took a bit over 20 minutes to get to BKK because there was congestion at the airport. If you don’t make the shuttle, you can also grab there for around 150 THB.

Check In

There was a bit of a wait but it went smoothly. My titanium welcome choices were 500 points, $10 USD (350 THB), or 1 free breakfast. Breakfast starts at 06:30, so I didn’t have time to try it and went for the $10 dining credit (spoiler alert: don’t do this).

Was upgraded to a room with a balcony on the 6th floor.

Room

The room was a long walk since it was on the complete opposite side of the lobby in the u-shape. It was very clean and modern. It was a lot larger than I imagined it to be and had a nice view of the pool and the courtyard.

The wifi was fast at 50-ish mbps download. The slippers were surprisingly comfortable. The room did not have a converter plug but just the normal Thai / US plugs, though there were lots of USB-A ports.

There were two bottles of water. The welcome amenity was a bottle of aloe vera and some snacks. There was a newspaper-like pamphlet describing the hotel and the area.

Dining

I had dinner at the restaurant downstairs. It’s an interesting concept; you can either do a buffet or a la carte in the same area.

I ordered the green curry with chicken for 320 THB. There were just 3-4 small pieces of chicken and it wasn’t very flavourful. The staff also insisted that it didn’t come with rice, even though on the menu it said rice was included. I was asked to pay extra for rice, though it didn’t matter because it was included with my F&B credit.

There is also free water that you can ask for.

I would not recommend eating here; there are many many restaurants within walking distance.

Amenities

There’s a gym on site with basic machines and some free weights. I didn’t have a chance to visit. The pool was quite large in the middle of the courtyard and there was a kid pool as well.IMG_0136.jpeg

There’s also a Let’s Relax, a famous Thai spa chain, on site and offers massages for very reasonable prices. I think it would be so nice to get a massage before leaving / after arriving.

Service

The staff were friendly as always and were very excited about the hotel that had just opened for two months!

Overall

I would definitely come back and stay here if I had another late arrival / early departure. I wouldn’t eat from the restaurant but would definitely check out the spa.
