Stats

Next to the AC Hotel this is the only hotel suitable for those who want to explore Palma without the inconvenience of a car.

I tried this hotel out for the first time. It is signficantly more expensive on points or for cash. I booked with 80K points using a certificate that was about to expire. Honestly I would probably go to the AC Hotel next time, but your value judgement might be different than mine.

Location

The hotel is locate quite centrally in an area restricted to only certain cars. The hotel will potentially contact you before arrival noting this and suggesting you use their transportation instead from the airport. The restricted area starts about 30 meters from the entry of the hotel. "Blue" paid street parking was not difficult to find. Actually we arrived and left during the fee free period of blue street parking so we never paid anything.

Check In

This is a Design Hotel so you will get limited Bonvoy benefits. My status was not mentioned. I had done web check in, but it did not have any affect. The hotel also does not support mobile keys or app chat.

The staff was really friendly and offered us a tour of the hotel's facilities.

A porter brought our very limited luggage (two small backpacks) to the room while we did the tour.

I was told that since Nobis is a Scandinavian brand this hotel is largely sold out to this clientele. I did not really withheld, based upon the persons I encountered at breakdast.

Room

The rooms are smallish, but acceptable for a city location. The hotel is a converted soap factory.

The bed was very comfortable. Both sides of the bed have USB-A outlets and a free power outlet.

The pattern of the tiles was not really my taste, but also not offensive.

I always question why modern hotels put phones in the bathrooms...

Multi-usage shower liquids with great water pressure in the shower.

A personalized welcome note with a small gift of soap. Remember it is a former soap factory.IMG_6220.jpegIMG_6219.jpegIMG_6218.jpeg

Dining

The cold items of the breakfast are self-service buffet.

Hot items can be ordered a la carte. Some items (see bottom) cost extra.

I believe all guests have breakfast included. Overall we were quite satisfied with the quality.

There is also a hotel bar with tast cocktails and other drinks. We received two drink vouchers for any of the classic cocktails or most wines. We both enjoyed the delivered cocktails.

Amenities

There is a very small poolavailable, suitable to the small size of the hotel.

There is also a sauna (who needs this in summer?) that needs to be turned on one hour before and the world's smallest gym.

Finally an interesting mention is an access-controlled staircase that leads to a tower and a nice view to the cathredral and the rest of the city. You need to ask for access at reception. Only two persons at a time, as it is a very compact staircase.
