Check In
We were in a rush as our plane was delayed and we had a concert to attend. Left the hire car out the front and only aimed to physicaly check in and leave our bags in the room as the property was sold out and doesn't offer digital check in.
Pre auth took 5 mins and providing room keys took another 10 because "our systems are really slow."
Room
We booked a Junior Suite which is basicallu suite without a door. The room did have exceptional views which was the only positive of this stay.
1) The room had visible mould in the bathroom and the carpet.
2) The bathroom had a sewerage smell that housekeeping trieed to mask with fragrance but was so bad we had to have the windows open at all times when in the room.
3) Everything is dated from the switches to the aircon
4) That soap dispenser is disgusting
5) They leave housekeeping carts in the aisle which apparently multiply
Dining
There’s no minibar and the fridge is warm. When I rang to ask for ice and some soft drink I was told there's a 90SEK delivery fee which is atrocious.
Breakfast was awful. We ended up just eating pastries.
Service
The Club lounge is being renovated but is in a nice meeting room below ground.
For some reason they do a fire alarm test every Tuesday at midday which was the perfect send off for this terrible stay.
Overall
I would never return to this hotel. I had wanted to book The Grand but it was sold out for Pride.
I know the Sheraton looks equally dated but this was just a bad stay from beginning to end.
