Stats

We stayed at the Four Seasons at the Nam Hai Hoi An for four nights in a One Bedroom Villa so we were sad to leave and move to the HR for two nights, but were pleasantly surprised.

Secured one night on cash and points and my PL agent couldn't or wouldn't request an additional night on c+p, so I emailed the hotel directly and they opened the inventory within 48 hours. Applied a TSU and booked into the Regency Suite King. Because it has to be blocked by the hotel it does not appear in your confirmation or app!

Check In

I had emailed twice to ask that we were allocated a top floor suite in the main building as the hotel is HUGE!

The hotel is busy, currently 100% so there are people everywhere but when I mentioned my name in the lobby we were taken immediately to the Regency Lounge where the duty manager came to meet us. We arrived at 1PM and he apologised profusely that the room wasn't ready. He told us that he had blocked two suites but he wanted to give us the one with the best view and it would be 20 mins.

Room

He escorted us to our suite in the F Block and it we were pleasantly surprised. The view is exceptional, actually better that the FS because of the outlook and height. You can see the Lady Buddha across the bay.

The room us large with a separate living and bedroom, two balconies and 1.5 bathrooms.

The decor is in soft tones and a light wood and appears very new. Apparently the hotel is 5 years old and it's very tasteful and relaxing.

Looking back from the hotel toward the club lounge you have direct views of the Marble Mountains.

Dining

The Regency club breakfast is a bit disappointing and under WoH we are no longer entitled to breakfast in the restaurant but chose to pay the upcharge on the second morning because it was much more expansive in offering.

Evening canapes are very good with a self serve buffet and staff making (very strong) free pour drinks including a cocktail of the day.

They also have one or two hot dishes they serve. On check in they asked our dietary requirements and to credit the hotel they specifically made us Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Chicken skewers while they were serving others Prok Ribs. This thoughtfulness very much impressed me.

We ate room service for other meals and it was good and cheap!

Location

Being on the beach, the location cannot be beat.

Overall

Overall, at 6,000 points and USD $75 per night with a TSU the stay was incredible value.

It's not the FS but in other aspects such as the cost and the view it was in fact better.

Just note the hotel is very, very popular year round. If you're looking for a quiet holiday away from others this is not the hotel for you.

Many of the guests cannot swim or do not know how to handle the ocean and we were surprised the staff didn't stop them taking inflatables into the ocean.

The Regency Club with its own private pool provided some peace, but the poolboys like to reserve one of the three cabanas for others. A quick word to the lounge manager meant we were given one immediately
