Corner Executive Loft Room

After an impressive first stay back in September, I decided to book for another staycation and this stay was better than the first one.

Check In

Well, I'll like to thank Cowism for the room recommendation as after I booked my room, I called the hotel and requested for Room 611 and boy was it a fantastic room compared to the others. I'll also like to mention that the Lounge staff at the hotel are amazing as even though I did not book at specific room category, the staff at the lounge pre blocked the room for me. (I do dine at the hotel frequently and the Lounge Staff does recognise me so I belive that could be why they were so helpful)

Inaddtion to asking for a specfic room, I requested for early check-in which was granted and I arrived at the hotel around 11am and proceeded stright to the Lounge for check-in. The kind lady, (I won't be mentioning names) welcomed us back as if we coming back home and proceeded with the usual check in procedures. We did wait at the lounge for 10 mins and she did request Housekeeping to reinspect the room prior to handling us the keys. After which, we proceed to our room on the 6th floor (which is 1 floor below the Infinity pool)

Room

As we were in an Corner Executive loft room, I suspect our room is a tad bigger than the usual Executive loft room (25m²), thus a win for us perhaps. Stated below is the description of the room we were in.

Executive Loft room of 25 m² with a queen bed and sofa.
This room features a queen bed, sofa and all benefits of a Loft Room plus Nespresso machine and access to Privilege Lounge with breakfast and cocktails. Up to 2 adults. No rollaway bed allowed and no children allowed at the lounge.

The only thing I find funny is that every Loft room already has a sofabed. So why not up to 3 adults then?

The minute you enter your room, the toilet in in front of you and to the left in your living room and the stairs up to the bed. The view from the toilet is amaing for this standard of hotel, so kudos to whoever who deisgned this room.

The one thing I hate about this room is the shower area, there's no glass partition/door and thus, the water can splash out easily. Other than that, its all good. Although I did feedback saying it would't even cost them $200 to fix that by placing a sliding door.

Another thing I do like was the design of the windows, a different tyoe of concept from the usual floor to celing windows.

Service

Service wise was excellent, although to be honest, I did not have a single interaction with the Front Office at Level 1. All my enquiries and assiatance was through the Lounge. I still feel that the staff at the Lounge were one of the best I have encountered so far. (Beating some Thailand properties on service with the exception of Sofitel Sukhumvit and Pullman Arcadia) Additionally, the lounge now offers some light snacks through out the day compared to my previous stay which offered nothing.

Food at the lounge during eveing cocktails was limited in selection but quality of the food was tip top excellent.

Restauarnt service was avergae to good but nothing special and bar serivice was good as I did have a nice conversation with the bartender on the 1st floor while redeeming my complimemtary drinks (Housepour Wines, Beers, Soft drinks, Juices)

Dining

Breakfast was drmatically improved since my last stay. (Kudos to them) Selection is still the same but quality has gone up. I sadly forgot to take pictures of the buffet as I was on pure relaxation mode when I woke up. So this is the only picture I have of my breafast.

Pool

Pool is located on the 7th floor with the 24 hour gym also being on the same floor.

Rooftop Garden

The rooftop garden was under renovation during my last stay and thus, I did not get to enjoy it. However, the roftop garden was open about 1 month prior to my stay. So "lucky" me huh (took them at least 5 month to open it aften their opening of their hotel)

However the rooftop was a very nice place to chill, comfortable seating with winds so it won't be too hot at night. However in the day, it was a deathtrap due to the sun, hahaha. The views were too bad either, it can't beat MBS buth then, you get what you pay. (Sorry, for the low quality pictures, I toom it with my phone)

Overall

Overall, it was a good stay. I'll definetly recommend the hotel to those looking to stay in the heart of Singapore without having to pay exorbitant hotel rates. Location is just 5 mins walk from Bugis MRT and a short taxi ride to Orchard or the CBD.
