So, I was #2 on the list. #1 on the list cleared as preboards were going. When I boarded, there were 4 or 5 first seats empty...not unusual but I was hopeful of my upgrade prospects. I kept checking the list, then about 5 minutes before doors closed, saw this. How can #4 and #10 clear before higher on the list? Notice this too on the standby list, but always assumed it was for airline staff needing to get to their assigned locations.
