I booked a trip SFO-HKG-HAN about an hour and a half ago where I wanted to apply miles and co-pay for an upgrade and saw that it was actually cheaper than buying a regular coach airfare. Before I modified my search for an upgrade, I did see an option for the $924 airfare that showed it as non-cancellable but as you can see, there is no mention that the airfare is non-cancellable in this screenshot. Since I have been burned a few times, I searched and found this thread.
