I was in Row 30, window, on a near empty 4 hr Porter transcon a few weeks ago. Had there been someone with a service animal beside me, but not under the seat, I have no idea where that someone would have put their own legs, let alone the animal. It would also create a blockage that would restrict my ability to egress the aircraft quickly in the event of an emergency. Are we suggesting that anyone with a service animal should be allocated a business class seat? At whose expense?
