This cup and saucer set was just beginning be phased out of the RCC when I bought my first membership in 1999. The script + times roman-esque serif fonts combination was used to convey elegance and sophistication through the 1980s and 1990s, but it was starting to look dated and tired by the time of the dotcom bubble.
