BTW, there seems to be an assumption in this thread that a full IRS audit is some kind of horrible experience. I’ve never been through one, but I wonder how bad it could be. This accordion folder has every receipt and document needed to support every line item on my tax return. It also has every bank and credit card statement for 2021. If the IRS were call me in, I’d plop this down on the desk and say, “Have at it.” I can’t think of anything an auditor would question.
