Do you know if there will be any other changes other than the name?

No idea. Just heard from a general manager I know that runs a Wyndham-affiliated hotel in the area.

I figured the name would change soon. They had a bunch of low budget motels and the they had the Wingate.

I just got my statement from Trip Rewards and it states that "in May, Trip Rewards will become Wyndham Rewards".

Trip Rewards changing

Trip Rewards will be re-branding to Wyndham Rewards in May.

Wonder what other changes will be coming down the line.
Maybe the end of the BRG? Let the speculation begin.

The TripRewards name is changing to Wyndham Rewards

Beginning in May, TripRewards® will be called Wyndham RewardsSM. It will be the same great program you love, but with a new name and even more ways to relax and reward yourself. Rest assured:
  • You’ll keep the points you’ve already earned*
  • Your member number will stay the same
  • You’ll continue to earn points or miles the same way
  • You’ll still have hundreds of rewards options to choose from

You’ll enjoy expanded travel choices from the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands — you can now earn points at more than 6,000 hotels and resorts around the globe.

For quick answers: Visit Frequently Asked Questions.
*TripRewards points expire four years from the date they are credited to a member’s account unless his/her account is used earlier. After 18 consecutive months without any earning or redemption transactions, the member’s account will be closed and points forfeited.

Rename forum?

TripRewards is now officially Wyndham Rewards, as of May 1st.

This is the worst loyalty program I've ever been a part of. They not only took my points but eliminated my account last year.

Whatever it saved them, I can guarantee it cost them more because I now actively avoid them out of anger. I was a Super 8 VIP cardholder for many years and they dumped me because of an 18 month gap with no notice.

I do not understand why companies are so stupid as to take a program designed to create loyalty and, for a short term savings, insult those customers.

I've not used the new TripRewards program yet for anything besides Wyndham properties. If you're a Wyndham traveler, TripRewards is easily one of the best loyalty programs available.

I second the vote for re-naming the forum.

I third the vote. I use TR when staying at the Wyndham XNA which is the only Wyndham I ever stay at.
