Wyndham wants to cancel my Go Free reservations
Hi everyone
I am encountering an issue with Wyndham regarding my upcoming Go Free reservations.
I booked end Frebruary through Wyndham website three Go Free nights at Dolce Sitges, which is actually the only Wyndham property I am regularly staying at.
I received an e-mail on Tuesday (so not even a month after my reservation) that this hotel was not under Wyndham brand anymore and that I have either to call them to be rebooked in a nearby property or to e-mail them in order to have my points back. To be honest, neither of this possibilities suits me, since car and flights were already booked.
I have therefore told them that, asking for my original booking to be honoured. They stated that per the Terms a Wyndham Property may be terminated or cease to operate under the Wyndham Umbrella at any time without notice, but nothing about what happens to already booked reservations.
What is weird is that they did not officially cancel the reservation, as if they are waiting for my formal approval.
What should I do now? Can I ask for the original booking to be honoured or is there really anything to be done?
