Wyndham extra fees on resort award stay in USVI
I booked 3 nights stay using points in Wyndham property in USVI. When I checked in, I was surprised that the resort rep said there will be additional $14.99 per night for electricity!! She claimed these are outside any other fees! I told her my booking is through points and it includes everything per Wyndham. She went to double check with her supervisor and came back to me that I still have to pay them! I feel this is a rip off because nothing on my reservation says this or any other associated fees. What do you suggest? Any other suggestions than doing card charge dispute at the end of my reservation?

Does the fee show up in the booking process when you use the cash rate?
I had a similar issue with a booking.com booking earlier this year. The hotel did not add the fee to the process nor did they mention it anywhere.
I walked them through the booking process after check-in and they refunded the fee.

I had this problem 1.5 years ago at the Club Wyndham Elysian. I didn't have the time/energy to pursue fighting it so I just paid it.
At least if you're at the Elysian, you can walk right into the Ritz next door (nicest hotel on St Thomas). That is permitted, as all beaches are public property (there's even an obscure way to drive in, with a small number of spots, for non resort visitors).
