Limited time - transfer up to 100K to Caesars

Received an email from Wyndham a couple of days ago. For those who might be interested, they're temporarily allowing up to 100K transfer of Wyndham reward credits to Caesars. Looks like the promotion runs through Sept 5, 2022. I can't post screenshots of the email or the direct URL link since this is my first post. I inserted some blanks in the URL below but you get the idea.

1Points Transfer Limited Time Increase Terms & Conditions:

Between May 15, 2022 Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and September 5, 2022 EDT (the “Promotion Period”), the calendar year limits on the number of Wyndham Rewards points that may be transferred to Caesars Rewards Reward Credits (a “Point to Credit Transfer”), and the number of Caesars Rewards Reward Credits that may be transferred to Wyndham Rewards Points (a “Credit to Point Transfer”) will each be increased from 30,000 (the “Standard Limit”) to 100,000 (the “Increased Limit”). Each of a Point to Credit Transfer and a Credit to Point Transfer may hereinafter occasionally be referred to as a “Transfer”.) Any Point to Credit Transfers or Credit to Point Transfers made in calendar year 2022 prior to the Promotion Period will be count toward the Increased Limit for such type of Transfer. For example, a Member who has transferred 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points to 15,000 Rewards Credits between January 1, 2022 and the commencement of the Promotion Period will have the opportunity to transfer a maximum of 85,000 additional Wyndham Rewards points to Rewards Credits during the Promotion Period. The Standard Limit will come back into effect for each type of Transfer immediately upon expiration of the Promotion Period. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Rewards Credits and Wyndham Rewards points will be posted to the applicable account within six (6) to eight (8) weeks after the completed Transfer. Rewards Credits and Wyndham Rewards points obtained via Transfer do not count toward Caesars Rewards Tiers or Member Levels. All Transfers are final and non-refundable. Caesars Rewards and Wyndham Rewards reserve the right to terminate this offer at any time. Caesars Rewards Reward Credits obtained via a Transfer are subject to the Caesars Rewards program terms and conditions, and Wyndham Rewards points obtained via a Transfer are subject to the Wyndham Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.

Thanks for posting this - I'd already done my 30000pt transfer for the year and was able to add another 30000

You're welcome. Same, I plan on transferring an additional 70k before my next trip to Vegas in June.

Would transferring extend expiration date?

Yes, it can be used to achieve that objective. You would transfer first to Caesars, after posting, transfer it back to Wyndham which restarts the 4 year hard expiration date.

From What I see Caesars has not increased the limit you can transfer back so even if you transfer the full 100K to CET you can still only transfer back 30K to extend the expiration date @ Wyndham

In case you aren't aware many places charge 150 , 200 or even 300 pts per $1 on RC................look around and use your points at places that only charge 100/ $1 for the best value.

Also, if you pay with points at the time of sale ( vs charging to the room the paying in points) you avoid sales tax

** Reward Credit redemptions are completed as 200 Reward Credits: $1 Comp Value at this outlet

Not as I read it:

and the number of Caesars Rewards Reward Credits that may be transferred to Wyndham Rewards Points (a “Credit to Point Transfer”) will each be increased from 30,000 (the “Standard Limit”) to 100,000 (the “Increased Limit”)

Thanks, I must have missed that but the Max transfer CET to Wyndham is still 30K at a time (vs Wyndham to CET which has up to 100K at one time) , maybe you can do multiple transfers CET to Wyndham to = 100K

If you are asking if transferring extends the expiration date of your CR reward credits then I can confirm yes. My expiration date reset to 6 months from today.

If you transfer points back to Wyndham it also resets the 4 year expiration which is what most people are looking for when they ask about expiration dates as this is a Wyndham forum.

As far as keeping Caesars points from expiring the easiest way IME ( I don't live near a Caesars casino) is to get the Caesars credit card, I use it to pay my Netflix bill every month so no need to worry about CET points expiring.

I don't know if I'll be going to Vegas this year. I have 30,000 Wyndham points that expire in 2024. Have you ever had any issue transferring points from Wyndham to Caesars, and then immediately transferring back to Wyndham?

2024 is a ways off, but the transfer benefit resets every calendar year, so it seems like it could be beneficial to utilize the benefit before the end of the year just to reset the clock.

I'll have to look at the Caesars credit card too.

I only did a test of transferring points back once and it was years ago, 5k CET to Wyndham was no problem.

As it stands now it seems you can transfer 100K to CET and then 100K back....................and also do another 30K in early 2023 so this may come in handy for people who have a lot of Wyndham points set to expire

The best use of CET Reward Points is in Atlantic City where the Laurel Lounges are still in operation, with full meals/drinks.
The price is only 1000 points, which is worth $10 per lounge visit. This makes these Wyndham points more valuable than face value.
Top level example, 100,000 points equals $1,000 comp credit at CET, which is 100 Lounge visits!

I'll leave my true feelings about AC out as CET comped us 3 nights and we were there a few weeks ago and lets just say we won't be back.

Laurel Lounges are only open on the weekends in AC or at least those were the hours in mid June.

In case some aren't aware you have to be at least DIAMOND to access the LL using 1000Rc/person
