Congrats. Let me know if you have any trouble with your Celebration dinner and other benefits while in AC.

Turns out the MGM status match got extended to the end of the year: https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/mgm-re...ier-match.html

Caesars Diamond becomes MGM Gold. For what it's worth, Caesars Diamond (even though there's a Diamond Plus and Diamond Elite) feels much better than MGM Gold. For example, Caesars Diamond (as well as Diamond Plus, Diamond Elite, and Seven Stars) can skip the lines at the cashier while this benefit is only available to MGM Platinum and Noir. You can only match to MGM Platinum if you have Diamond Elite or higher, which is two steps up.

My Atlantic City trip got postponed to next month but I'm in Vegas now. Caesars also is much more generous with comps than MGM (e.g. Caesars gives free rooms on specific days at Diamond while MGM doesn't at Gold). Will probably stay loyal to Caesars and use MGM for Hyatt status match (which I probably also won't use, but I digress).

If you are in AC, there are a bunch more status matches possible. Text version here: https://milestalk.com/the-status-mat...ar-after-year/

We did these matches in AC last month, Bally's is now a scratch ticket vs a set free play. We won $5 each and turned it into $150 so it ended up being our best match but it wasn't he set $25 or whatever the video said.

Caesars Diamond is going very well. Already had a 3 night comped stay in Vegas at LINQ and a 2 night comped stay at Tropicana Atlantic City.
LINQ was quite nice, room was modern. Offered a suite upgrade for $50 cash per night but didn't take it.
At Tropicana I stayed in a South Premium Ocean Suite (2 Queen) which is one of the highest category suites with two beds and really didn't like it. It's basically a regular room with two chairs and a sofa. The view was mediocre. I would have taken another room but we needed two beds and this seemed like the best option. The South tower is what they recommended (over the West tower), but it just didn't feel modern at all. I have stayed at Harrah's previously and the rooms are much nicer. The two bed in the Bayview Tower is way nicer and much more modern, and it's a standard room. I imagine the suites are also better at Harrah's if you're ok with one bed.

The Tropicana casino is quite nice though. Same with Harrah's. Caesar's is rundown. Also haven't stayed at Caesars rooms yet. Laurel Lounges were only open on the weekend so didn't get a chance to try.

I used the Diamond celebration dinner at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Harrah's and it was a good meal.

Status matched to Hard Rock Royalty and Ocean Prime, skipped Bally's due to not enough time but might be back soon to try it out. Hard Rock Royalty gives a 2 night stay within 90 days and Ocean Prime also gives a 2 night stay Sun-Fri within 60 days. The Avila Lounge at Ocean is quite nice and open weekdays.

Anyone think Caesar's/Wyndham will change their mind and allow status matches again in 2023? I know it's not likely since they actually notified us of the rules changing.
what would be the easiest way to achieve diamond for next year?
any credit card recommendation(non business)
founders card?
start betting big on football to meet the tier credit eligibility?
Would appreciate the least effort/least spend method you experts would recommend.
Thanks!

The easiest way with less spend is the wydham business card.$99 annual fee 1k to get Sub that it. Use wydham point and transfer to Cesar reward. The founder card if I remember correctly is 450 annual fee.
Is pretty easy card to get the wydham business card. Solo prop side business. Even easier if you already have a Barclay CC

I believe Sports bets earn ONE tier credit for every $5 of potential profit..........to hit regular Diamond on EVEN $ sports bets you would have to bet $75K If you are betting minus $110 NFL point spread bets you would have to bet $82,500

Even if you bet long shot parlays ( plus 1000 or greater) they are capped at 10X your stake so it would require betting $1500 to get 15K TC

Call me crazy but that's probably not the best way to earn a $100 dinner and waived resort fees.

If you want to make sports bets like that you are MUCH BETTER OFF finding the best odds by searching multiple books as opposed to only using CET.

The vast majority here are getting Diamond via the Wyndham business credit card and there is no guarantee Caesars will have that match in 2023.

Caesars Tier Credits Earnings on Sports Bets
  • Earn 1 Tier Credit for every $5 of potential profit on sports bets placed. (Up to 10 times the original amount staked).

The Wyndham business card annual fee is only $99 a year and currently Caesars will status match off that. The dining credit alone pays for the annual fee.

You use to be able to get Platinum Status with the Caesars credit card with something like $10K spend a year along with a VIP card that gave you most of the diamond benefits in Vegas except for the waived resort fees and and lounge access (which I think they clsoed all the lounges) but I know they did away with the VIP card, not sure if they still give platinum status but that isn't worth much anyway these days.

This only applies if you have Wyndham status via a match from Caesar's. If you qualified for Whyndham status by stays, I believe that you will still match, as those status matches were never taken away this year.

How did you get the comped rooms? Do you have to call? Or it can be done through the website and/or app? Thanks!

Set up an online account a CET and you can log in and see your room rates ( Any comp offers) 11 months out.

I recently booked 5 comp nights for the last week of Sept 2023

Requested the match of Wyndham Diamond to Caesars several weeks ago and never heard anything. Still gold with Caesars.

Just submitted a new request. Any way to contact Caesars if I don’t hear anything. I have a trip to Vegas in December and want to ensure I have the Diamond status by then.

Dealing with the same thing at the moment. Requested match just over a month ago and then again 10 days ago and nothing yet. Legitimate Wyndham Diamond member for what it's worth.
