Now I regret applying for the Earner+ card. I didn't want to waste an inquiry, on the chance that Barclays would look down on a small SP applicant (most of my income is from employment, but I do have one investment/rental property). I wonder if Barclays would do a PC from Plus to Biz . . . maybe after a few months? A year?

Good points - I'll just send in an app for the business card, next time they run a promotion on the SUB. I'll run with the Earner+ for now. I do like the higher earn rate on gas with the biz version, and the higher anniversary points . . . but probably not enough to open a second account immediately (trying to stay under 5 new accts in 24 months, to stay eligible with Chase). Thanks again!

I don't know specifically about Barclays but atleast with the other major banks, there is no PC allowed from Personal to Business but I don't see a reason why you can't just apply for the Business. You are allowed to have both and depending on how well you can use Wyndham points, both cards might pay for themselves.
-Barclays, like all other issuers, will NOT product trade personal card to business card, BUT
-You absolutely can have both (I and others do) and
-Both cards do pay for themselves, assuming you are able to make 1cpp or better use use of Wyndham points.
I doubt the bonuses or the card benefits will ever be more attractive than right now. While the business card is the pick of the litter (does not report / take up a 5/24 slot; has a more generous annual point award / dollar; higher and more unique bonus categories, et cetera), the two complement each other.

Arshi & Dave - thanks for clarifying. I was under the impression that Barclays *did* report Earner Biz to consumer credit bureaus. If it doesn't (and it doesn't factor into 5/24), that changes things. It's worth a shot. None of my other banks or card issuers use transunion, so the extra inquiry is no big deal. I was mostly concerned about the # of new accounts reporting...

Better safe than sorry.

I have had the Business card for a full billing cycle, and can confirm there has been no reporting. No Barlacys business cards have ever done this.
Aside from a dated, glitchy web interface, outsourced to juniper bank and well behind the site hosting their personal cards, this card is absolute home run IMO. Anyone with any interest in Wyndham or especially Caesar's Resorts / Casinos should not hesitate to pick it up during this promotion.

Barclays does not report Business cards, I used my 5th slot in 5/24 a few months after I opened my Business Earner card...........if the Barclay card counted I would have been at 5/24 when I applied and denied the Chase UA card
I doubt you are going to see a better SUB than 90k for spending $3K........that's crazy.............plus this card gets you Diamond status at Caesars which among other things means no resort fees

I have been churning for 15 years and we have millions of points/miles in stock, this is the best offer ( spend vs points) I have ever seen at any bank.

Spectacular signup bonuses get all the attention in this game--in large part because the bloggers that flog them earn commissions on the signups. But the more exciting plays for many of us are the study, high earners year-in and year out.
This card is now quite good on the SUB itself: 90K points is as good as almost anything short of crazy Amex Platinum and Chase SP offers. But it absolutely crushes those cards once the SUB is done. 8x on hotel earn and gas? And 5x on utilities--not just cable and phone (where Chase's business cards also offer 5x), but on utilities like gas, water and electric? And that's on top of 15k annual points on a $95 annual fee--effectively a negative AF. Fantastic. Chase and Amex can't touch that.

Per the Wyndham mobile app, it looks like the current offer is valid until mid-October. I'll definitely get a business app in before the promo ends. Waiting for now simply to minimize odds of rejection. There's no way my 'business' has enough revenue for an approval without my personal income/credit to guarantee it. My Earner+ credit line was lower than I expected, given my FICO score, and debt-to-income, which makes me think that Barclays UW is probably wary of my # of new accts. I'll give it a few weeks, take the edge off of their concerns re: credit-seeking behavior, but still get that biz app submitted before the 90k sub expires.

My concern really did boil down to 5/24. I've been hitting signup bonuses pretty hard this spring/summer. 4 new revolvers since April. A fifth new acct reporting would put me on the wrong side of 5/24 until May 2023 . . . so it's not something I was taking lightly. Agree that the current offer is really good. I wasn't thinking of Caesar's. Just normal hotel spend. A 4* Tryp/Trademark/Wyndham/Grand hotel in New York, Boston, Philly etc is 27k points. A comparable Hilton property would be 50k-70k points. Plus, Wyndham has lots of solid 15k options in Germany (13.5k w/ rebate), and some interesting caribbean properties...all 27k points/night, max. Definitely an underrated card, imo.

My wife applied last week using the same and was approved today.
