A few posts back I posted that I didn't sign up with the link for the extra 1k pts .
The 10k points was a targeted offer on my account page and I have received those but not the masterpass points.

I had the targeted 10k points on my account page as well. Made the reservation on 9/30, so it should have been within the limits to receive the 10k points, but they haven't posted...

Here is my data point
So I did a stay at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh checking in Aug 23 check out Aug 24. I booked on my Iphone 7 and had this hunch so I captured every step screenshot showing that I was booking the "Masterpass offer" by clicking on the link on the Wyndhamhotels.com site, held the reservation using the Masterpass by clicking on the pay with Masterpass link (I also have the text message that Masterpass sent at the time of reservation to verify the identity) and upon check in, I presented the same credit card that I have in my Masterpass account. This was not a prepaid rate. I booked this specifically for this promotion at a rate of $160, even though the Sheraton Station square was much cheaper!
After five weeks and checking my account anxiously to see if the miles posted, I approached customer service through online form and attached the file with screenshots. They said they couldn't research until six weeks. On the midnight of the sixth week I again sent them an email and the curt reply was "Upon reviewing your account, I see you did not book the stay through the Masterpass link".
I called and spoke for 20 mins to Wyndham reps. I was given the Masterpass number to call 1-888-327-2943. The lady at that number was clueless. She said "we don't give out points here". Then I call back Wyndham. It was like banging your head against the wall! After spending lot of time with the rep, I asked to speak to a Supervisor so I was transferred to the US based rep. She was very polite, understanding and after a long review and research she did not see the "code" that is stamped on each reservation that tells Wyndham that this was a Masterpass reservation and hence eligible for the promotional points. She did believe that I had followed the steps correctly and that "someone at the hotel or somehow the code must have been deleted". So as a one time courtesy she went ahead and credited the account manually with 7,500 points. But if this involves such an enormous amount of time to get fixed and so much headache, I wonder if I really should have fallen prey to this rather than sticking to the usual established chains like Starwood and Marriott.

Just checked my account and the 10k was posted a day after my stay.
9-18
I would email them or call if you have stayed already and haven't received the points.

My data point. The front person did not need to see my credit card which was registered on masterpass.
FYI, I used TCB but seems like no cash back is pending. But Visa Edge saving worked fine.

My 7,500 points posted 10/18.
I missed out on the 10,000 bonus points promotion, unfortunately. Thinking I may still do one more cheap stay to get the other 7,500 points and also Gold Status (promo).
I'm planning a trip over Valentine's Day weekend, and the going rate for a room is around $200-$250/night in a city. Essentially paying $100 total (2 $50 stays) for a $200-$250/night room. Not bad.

Have screenshots of the whole booking with MP and of course billing statement.
My own 2x 7.500 MP points plus 10.000 bonus posted fairly quickly tho - within 10 days.

Anyone been successful in booking a cheap room and just asking the hotel to check you in over the phone for the sake award points? Or any strategy to checking in for a room in a city you’re not physically in? Otherwise I can do local. Just an idea. Thanks.
