Are you logged in when doing the search? When I do it I only get cash rates or points-only rates if I tick the box. But no cash & points rates.

ETA: It does work when logged in but not otherwise. Interesting development...

Seems to vary depending on how you get in to the Wyndham website and which of the sites you're searching against (there are multiple which look very similar). I wonder if that's just a function of getting the new code fully rolled out or something else. Either way, I do now see it in many cases while not logged in as well even though I was not seeing it at all previously.

So far I've identified the following cash co-pay options for cash & points:
  • $25
  • $30
  • $35
  • $45
  • $55
  • $75
  • $95

For non-USD bookings the numbers are approximate based on conversion to local currency.

I've also seen a few examples where suites or other premium rooms can be booked at normal award rates.

Cash and points do offer better values per Pointe in many cases. However, I have far too many points that are expiring in next few years that I won't be able to use it much...

Does this include Viva Wyndham properties as well?

Seems to be the case. This is the Viva Wyndham in Freeport, Bahamas.

Available mid-May for 15k points, 3k+$25 or $120, depending on which rate you choose.

Thanks! The "Go Fast" rate actually looks like a really good deal...

Interesting. We seem to be getting conflicting information from 'Wyndham Rewards 2' (Company Representative user). In another thread, in response to the question "Do we have any stats yet on using Wyndham rewards points at all-inclusive resorts?" where 'longleaf' referred to the Viva Wyndham Azteca resort, the Wyndham response was "Wyndham Rewards points can only be redeemed for Wyndham Hotels and our other core brands." Maybe the Wyndham Representative didn't understand the question or something.

We will follow up with more information on the credit card shortly.
I've been thinking of applying for the card, but this comment from April 1 in response to a rumor of the best offer ever has held me back. I'm wondering if there is a better offer coming. Maybe the comment from that afternoon was the follow up?

I was told by their media department that this 45k + 15k anniversary bonus was the 'richest in it's history' offer they alluded to previously, so I think you'd be safe to apply.

Obviously they could still release a better offer in the future, but I think this is it for now.

This 5500 point bonus was enough for a free "room" (albeit a bottom of the barrel room at a fringe property), aligning it with other hotel programs with similar setups.

I wonder, now that 5500 points is worth only approximately 1/3 of a free night under the new program, if there will be any plans to up the yearly points bonus to 15K. If not, I will most certainly cancel my card at the next anniversary. A continued 5500 point yearly bonus is not in the spirit of the original credit card agreement I accepted.
Existing cardholders will be upgraded to 15,000 anniverary points if they hold the annual fee. They'll also be able to access the old award chart until November 3rd.

This post contains links to my website, I've included all of the relevant information as per FT rules.

It is stupid to use 3K plus $736.25HK in this situation :-) lol
