I have used that service before - it was also for a sign-up bonus type thing, I think I got free movie tickets or somesuch for the $1 free trial. Mostly the deals are bad, but one is worth noting: you can buy AMC "silver" or "gold" tickets (good for 2 week old+/new release respectively) for a pretty OK discount (I think $6 or $8 per ticket). Given ticket prices where I live, that's an OK discount.

I wound up signing up for the program, ordering a dozen silver tickets. then cancelling after 20 days. Didn't have an issue, but WATCH the renewal like a hawk.

I think I'll try it too - I happened to need exactly 2000 points to transfer in even increments to airline programs, so this works!

EDIT: Just noticed that the offers said it expired in August? That gives me pause.

I just signed up using a prepaid gift card so..no over billing in case something happens. Registration was successful, but their website seems to be down?

I just had 2K points post to my Wyndham account and I signed up for this like 3 days ago -- I don't know if these points are from that or some long-ago promo I don't remember (I've never stayed at a Wyndham property, so it would have to be some sort of promo either way), but looks like one can get the 2K pretty quickly if indeed that's where these points came from. It posted as: 10/3/12 Affinion Bonus Points 2,000

Went ahead and picked this up, and noted that they are still offering AMC Silver Tickets for $6, and Gold tickets for $7.50. Gold tickets work on all non-Imax non-3D new releases, so a decent way to save if you have an AMC nearby.
