My Mirena set off a metal detector
My Mirena did set off a metal detector! I had to get the pat down around my private area.

It did (Canada)
Travelling to Vancouver, the metal detector did set it off. They just asked me to open my fists, and hovered a wand over it then my hips and foot. It shouldn’t be a problem.

I have one as well and I recently have flown, and both times through the detector i had to get patted down. It never happened before I got the Mirena. So I would say yes, it will get flagged at the airport, although I'm not sure where else it would be flagged.
