Amazing travel purse alert!

I wanted to share this tidbit with the ladies - the Lululemon "Pack Your Practice" Bag is my new favorite travel purse. It is stylish, convertible and packs into a small pouch the size of the Tumi "Just in Case" tote. The pouch also zips in to become a pocket in the bag where you can store items.

Sorry, I've been traveling with this thing for 3 weeks now and am so giddy about it I had to share. Luckily we have a forum which is the perfect venue :-)

I'm all for practical, but that bag is ugly. I just wouldn't want to carry it, however functional it might be.

Similar bag that costs less and probably weighs less.

Thumbs up

I looked at this bag on my Galaxy Tab, so missed all but the main picture which shows it fully open. Agree, pretty unwieldy and it looks like you could stash a small toddler in there. But I found the page scrolled, and actually I like it. The scrunched up version is cute, and love the color. I can imagine using it for shopping excursions after bags are packed (and will be checked) if you bring stuff like Trader Joes goodies, butter from Paris, Duty Free gifts, etc. Given the OP's enthusiasm, I'm at least going to go look at this. That's how I discovered wearever (JJill), which, from the ads, I thought was the dowdiest looking clothing extant.

I think the scrunched up version is cute too. But, I think it's over priced for what it is.

As the sort of traveler who never goes anywhere with more than a carryon, my favorite bag for years has been the Briggs & Riley Baseline tote. One side unzips and slides right over a rollaboard handle. It holds anything not in my carryon, basically, but still is passable as a purse while at my destination. Plus it has a lifetime guarantee. I still love it as much as when we first met a decade ago.

One thing's for sure, no one can steal it away from you. The color screams, "Here I am."

I got it in black... Not sure why they made that ugly yellow the main photo now. Agreed, bag looks terrible in yellow but I have received tons of compliments on my black one.

MY choice

I still use one of these....main reason....after a few hours hubby will carry it for me because it looks more backpack than purse! That's worth more than fashion

Sorry, but that Lululemon purse is hideous! It looks like an adult diaper.

I really like that bag! Thank you for sharing! Does it compress well to pack in a carryon?

The linked bag was the medium size Ameribag. I just bought the small size and I love it.

If there was nothing in the bag I would say it would compress down pretty well. There are no hard inserts in bag, so the only thing holding you back would be the strap and buckle. The strap reinforced with a slightly grippy synthetic leather-like material.

I was just going to use my bag for just travel, but I've made it my everyday bag now. Fits my ASUS tablet and my tech goodies with room to spare.

Amazing travel purse alert!

I don't own one of these but I'm thinking about buying one. Www.pacsafe.com (I don't know how to create a link in the app). But they are anti -theft purses and bags. Basically the straps and sides are cut and slash proof. The bags are pretty plain but that's generally my taste.

I've been looking for a great bag/purse for the past year since my over sized Cole Haan bag was starting to wear out. Purchased this and just received the OG bag, http://www.loandsons.com/the-og and love it! Wasn't a fan of the lulu bag, but the quality is good. I'd highly recommend the OG, there's heaps of space and tons of zippers plus a shoe compartment.
