Looking for a highly recommended single or women's tour group

Hi everyone!

I hope this is the right place in the forum to post this thread....

I had a trip planned to europe in August with my cousin. She backed out last minute. I still have the time off and would like to go on some type of trip, but was completely overwhelmed when I googled "single tours" and "women's tours" How do you tell which is safe and reputable?

Please, and feedback or reccomendations would really be appreciated!
:)

If you have a specific interest/activity such as gothic cathedral architecture, hiking, scuba diving or romantic castle tours, try searching in those areas which would most likely have resources for female only/majority/focused tours.

I've been on a few golf, foodie and of course shopping tours organized by various universities, women's clubs and charity organizations. Sometimes even private clubs will allow you to join their tour as a tag-a-long if they need to make a minimum or reach a head-count for a certain discount, so it's ok to leave your contact info even if the receptionist/doorman says that their trips are for club members only. I've been called by the organizer this way before and invited to join their trip. :)

You might want to read this thread. I realize it is geared towards seniors, but there are a few groups there.

Another resource for recommendations is the Journeywoman site.

I haven't taken one myself, but I know a lot of people who have enjoyed the Rick Steves tours.
