WestJet Airlines Ltd. is considering introducing a fuel surcharge to help combat record high oil prices, hoping that consumers will find such a levy more palatable than being billed for every in-flight perk.
"We have to look at fuel surcharges. There's no doubt about it," WestJet chief executive officer Sean Durfy said in an interview yesterday at the airline's Calgary head office.
