Economy Only Seat Aircraft

Dissapointing they are not retrofitting the swoop airplanes

Not yet anyways. I imagine it will take some time to reconfigure and repaint them all, as its not possible economically nor logistically to do that all at once, so one by one I hope they will get them done (versus deciding that this is the new direction! ).

Exactly, they can't do it overnight from when swoop ceases to exist and new westjet ops the next day. Ripping out seats and putting on new seats would take a minimum of a couple months, and I dont think a reapaint will be done as Swoop livery is fairly new and considering the cost of repaints according to this post.

If you want to avoid the swoop plane, you should be able to avoid it by adding a connection or flying out of a nearby alternate airport. I used this to avoid fmr swoop by flying out of YVR instead of YXX, although the YXX-PVR flight did end up changing to a traditional mainline 737 MAX.

I do agree in all aspects that this is sort of unclear as it just shows "economy seats only" and WestJet fleet page shows a seat pitch of 30", although realistically the seat pitch is 29".
