WS Mainline to Launch YEG Crew Base
Announced internally appx 2 weeks ago. WS Mainline will launch a mid-size cabin crew and pilot base at YEG commencing 01MAY2023.

The reason cited is “WestJet plans to increase capacity to the Edmonton market this year with the intention of strengthening our network to focus on our western and leisure business.”

Let the discussion begin! I’d assume significant announcements for summer 2023 Sked for YEG.

Well, at least they are justifying the name WestJet, maybe AlbertaJet would be even more appropriate.

I would guess:
LAX/LAS/YUL/YOW return to daily in the summer
CUN/PVR/PHX convert from seasonal to year round with once weekly flights
