EK Codeshare
 
From my understanding, WS and EK are codeshare partners. I looked into booking a trip to DXB from YYJ or YVR on EK in December but the EK website says there are not any available flights. Direct from YYZ is not a problem. It seems that the EK website can’t access WS flights. The WS website doesn’t list DXB as a destination so I can’t book it that way.

Any suggestions?

Try Alaska to SEA then EK SEA-DXB?

The AS and EK codeshare agreement ends on July 31 so I would have to book two separate tickets which makes me nervous in case problems arise.

Probably because the OP is looking for booking a flight in December and WS has not finalized its December schedule yet!

They'll be available on OTAs. Try YVR-DXB December 6-24.

Although compared to AC/LH, they are expensive.
