Extension Of Companion Vouchers

Curious if WestJet is planning on extending companion vouchers? Seems like such a wasted benefit if they cannot be used due to restrictions in travel due to covid. Anyone have any information about this?

I cancelled my WJ m/c last week and now my companion voucher expiring in Aug 2022 is no longer in my WJ account. Is this normal?

Yes, it is in the terms and conditions: https://www.westjet.com/en-ca/reward...panion-voucher

“Unused vouchers will automatically be cancelled on the date your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard account is closed.” as the next to last item in the terms and conditions.
