Is there a time limit on the free inflight connection?

I get free Gogo but depending on the offer I am either limited to an hour on any flight or twelve days a year.

This is a nice benefit - I'm surprised I haven't seen mention of it from RBC or WestJet directly so far? Would have been nice to know when they advised of the increase in companion certificate cost.

It's in the WestJet Magazine in an add for the card, but of course the magazine is not widely distributed at present.

"Some Boingo Wi-Fi for Mastercard Cardholders receive this benefit at no additional charge. Please check the details of your plan for eligibility." I think it does for most Canadian card issuers but I know for sure that BMO's World Elite has it.

I don't think so. I don't see this offered for BMO or NBC mastercards. Also, why would WestJet in conjunction with other card issuers extend this (fairly expensive) benefit to cards other than WestJet-branded ones?

This benefit is offered by Mastercard (not Westjet) to a select group of cardholders under many different financial institutions.

At the risk of sounding curt, I will recommend a refresher on what it means to "Read with Understanding". If you do that and review the thread, you will notice that:

1. The thread is about "Complimentary WS Inflight (and others) wifi for WS World Elite MasterCard holders". Do note the words "inflight" and "others"...
2. An assertion was made by a contributor that the benefit mentioned in the thread title is not specific to the WS-branded World Elite Mastercard, but is rather a general benefit for holders of all World and World Elite Mastercards... and I called BS on this assertion. The general benefit appears to be for access to land-based hotspots. Only the WS-branded Mastercards offer the inflight access and it only applies to WS flights.

And I stand by my call. Feel free to prove me wrong... Or do you think that Mastercard is too shy, does not want to boast and would just rather advertise hotspot access, while offering inflight as a "silent benefit"? Come on...

This was the confirmation I got when I registered with my BMO World Elite Mastercard. It specifies Inflight.
