Was wondering if they'd launch PDX. Wonder if AC will now abandon the route from YYC (ugh). AUS is a surprise.

Depending on the loads? AC has multiply flights out of PDX. I have always flown YVR-PDX and the loads were always good.

YYC-PDX is daily and was double daily seasonally.... but cut this year. And loads mean nothing. It's all about yield.

To me that's part of yield. Presumably AC has flights not because of high O&D but to get pax on LHR/NRT/FRA.

I used to do this run a lot and seems to me most pax were carrying briefcases, but hard to tell for certain why they were YVR-PDX-PDX
But the flights (Jazz) were always mostly full, the one's I took anyway.
