Transfer intl-dom in YYC

Transfer intl-dom in YYC
Does anyone have experience transferring from international to domestic in YYC ? I'm wondering if checked luggage is picked up or do connecting pax stay airside after exiting CBSA control?

I've arrived from the US then connected from YYC on a domestic flight, but only with a carry-on bag (I never check luggage - ever). It's one hell of a long hike, but otherwise fairly painless. Sorry, no idea what happens to checked bags.

Is it a WestJet to WestJet connection? If so, OSS (i.e. One Stop Security) kicks in ... and you don’t need to claim your bags at customs in Calgary.
If your domestic flight is from the A gates, hop on the inter-terminal Link shuttle (which is post-security, accessible after you clear customs and get into the domestic concourses) to avoid the long walk.
