WestJet CEO Ed Sims pushing 'through the grind' of his honeymoon phase

https://business.financialpost.com/e...oneymoon-phase

Earlier this year, WestJet welcomed new CEO Ed Sims to its team. Sims is a veteran in the airline industry, with experience in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand. He arrived to Canada at a time he deems particularly interesting.

The world is getting this growth of populism that is rejecting dynasties, its rejecting heritage and its causing a lot of rapid change. I was fascinated by the opportunity to not just work in a country of 35 million people, but one with a neighbour of 300 mill to the south to be within North America at such a time of dramatic change (in the U.S.,) but to not be subject to that change.
