Is there Priority Pass lounge in YYZ for Canada to US Westjet passengers

I usually fly Air Canada from YEG to YYZ to BOS but trying Westjet this time. I heard from others that it is different area of airport and no priority lounge. Is this correct. I usually visit Priority lounge at Transborder after customs when travelling Air Canada. I have 3 hour layover at YYZ and have priority pass via Amex Plat US. Thanks

It is true that it's a different area from domestic and international departures. For a long time there was no Priority Pass lounge in T3 for US departures, but that is no longer the case. One was put in with recent(ish) renovations. So you will have lounge access!

The Priority Pass app is the best and easiest way to find their lounges. It lists them by terminal, and shows which are for domestic vs transborder vs international.

The YYZ T3 lounge is a “Plaza Premium” lounge, near gate A10.

You likely won’t even need to use your Priority Pass for access. (Most) Amex Platinum cardholders have access to those lounges in Canada without having to use their PP account. (Amex Canada kinda treats them like a Centurion program, although the lounges aren’t as good as Centurion.)

The Plaza Premium lounge (which is also Amex Lounge branded and WestJet Lounge branded) is probably the smallest Plaza Lounge in Toronto. However it has a good pasta station.

The one problem with doing a domestic to US connection in Toronto Terminal 3 is they don't have an air side connection into the transboarder area. You basically get dumped into the same line as all the local passengers. If you show the person at the front of the line your AMEX Platinum card you will be moved into a priority lane through security and its well worth it, the regular line can be long at certain times of the day.

If someone flies more than once a year to the US they should have NEXUS and Global Entry which gives you priority access and better much faster US formalities and at a cost that's a fraction of an AMEX Platinum card.
Frequent WS passengers would do better with NEXUS and Global Entry and the WS Mastercard than AMEX Platinum also at a substantial savings.
