Newport Beach
Has anyone stayed at The Island Hotel Newport Beach (used to be The Four Seasons) or any recommendations for another property nearby

My wife and I stayed there quite a while ago when it was the 4 Seasons. Excellent hotel but it is right in the middle of a typical large OC shopping center - so not much atmosphere around there. I don't have any other recommendations, since all our other OC stays have been further south down the coast or further north, such as Irvine or Anaheim.
