Best website for booking internal US flights ?

hi

I need to book some one-way flights for an upcoming trip (July) to US (Portland, OR to Las Vegas, Las Vegas to LA (X or Bob Hope) and LA (Bob Hope) to Portland.

What' the best way of doing this ?

Should I pay in dollars of pounds ?

thanks

I normally use http://www.kayak.co.uk to find a flight, and then book direct with the airline. This will also allow you to search for multi city itins.

Some US web sites do not accept non-US credit cards, so you may be better booking via the relevant UK site in GBP.

Unless you are a member of a specific FF program (in which case you should use that airline's site, e.g. www.aa.com) I would suggest Travelocity, www.travelocity.com

It's usually best to book direct with the airlines in case you need to change it in the future (I can't keep track of the rules and such of what airlines charge to change tickets issued by others ...), but the main exception is US Airways which charges a $5 fee to book even on its own website, in that casse Priceline is my choice since they do not charge any booking fees.
