Salt Lake City Airport connection

Salt Lake City Airport connection

Friday im flying to Elko Nevada from San Francisco and i have to stop in Salt Lake when i arrive i have to go from Concourse B to Concourse E and my layover is 45 minutes will i make it in time for my Elko flight?

If it's on the same ticket no problem (you'll get put on a later flight if necessary). If it's a separate ticket and you miss your Elke flight, you'll have to buy a new ticket there and a new ticket home.

its a round trip ticket from SF to Elko and back

You should be fine. Worst case you'll be on the next flight.

Depending on the exact gates and assuming a typical walking speed it shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to walk that, in my experience. Even with a small delay in the inbound you should be fine.

The very few times I have flown into Elko it was on a very small plane. The point being - the boarding process only started a few minutes before departure. As long as your incoming flight isn't delayed too much, you should be fine.

so far its on time and will i definitely have to go through security again?

You do not have to go through security again. The concourses at SLC are like fingers on a hand. You will walk up the finger to get to the hand and then across the hand to the E concourse finger. 45 minutes is plenty of time.
