Rocky Mountain/Denver 4th of July
 

We are going to be in Denver the 4th of July weekend. Was wondering about some different firework venues for the 4th of July. It seems like Estes Park has a cool show but crowds and traffic are really bad. I was also looking at a amphitheater in Denver with the Colorado symphony or attending a outlaws lacrosse game at Mile High stadium which has a fireworks show. Lastly I think Denver itself has a free show downtown. Is the firework show in Estes Park worth the crowds? Drive time to all
The venues looks to be about 30 minutes from the hotel but with limited roads in and out of Estes park it sounds like it will be bumper to
Bumper for quite awhile. The other venues should have less if an issue with traffic.

The Colorado Rapids (soccer team) has a show as well. It's out of the downtown area by 6 miles or so.

Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs have some nice ones without nearly the crowds.

Thanks for the info. Will check out colroado springs and all the boys play soccer so they would probably enjoy that more than lacrosse

In some but not all recent years, the road to NCAR Boulder has been open in the evening of July 4th. From that facility, if it is a clear night, you can see maybe 12 or more fireworks displays around the Front Range, as you have a panoramic view to the south and east. Obviously the one in Boulder is the closest and really the only one you are looking up to see, as opposed to around the horizon. There are other places in and near the Flatirons where you should have similar vistas, if that is of interest to you.

The fireworks show over Lake Dillon is very nice, too.

Did the Outlaws lacrosse game at Mile High. Fireworks show was very good. Just didn't expect to have to fight my way out from almost 29000 fans who all left at the same time. (After the show). Think it only took 15
Minutes to get on I25 from parking lot so that was pretty impressive
