RAP - Bison Roundup - South Dakota Custer State Park
 

The last Friday of September is the annual Bison Roundup. I'm going to the roundup on Sept 26.

Has anyone been?

I know that I'll be there a few hours, and chairs are recommended. I don't want to carry on a chair, so I've ordered a folding chair from walmart.com

The weather is supposed to be decent. I've rented a mid-size SUV.

Will bugs be a concern? Does anyone have any tips?

I've not been to the area before. I'm staying in Rapid City 2 nights, 1 night at Cadillac Jacks in Deadwood, and 1 night at Cedar Pass Lodge

I am going to the bison roundup this year, would love any advice! Also my first time to the area.

Do not put a bison in your car!
