Hotels in Telluride
 

Hello--

We're planning a Telluride wedding, and we're trying to choose hotels in the area for our guests.

Has anyone stayed at either the Mountain Lodge or the Columbia and have opinions on either one? Having never been (my better half has, I haven't), I'd love to hear what people have to say.

Haven't actually stayed at either of those (last stayed just down the road from the Mountain Lodge at the Peaks), but I'd guess the answer (for me) would depend on the time of year, and any planned/expected activities aside from the wedding itself.

It's a summer wedding (August), and I'm looking less in terms of area/surroundings and more in terms of in-hotel experiences. What's the place like? How nice are they? What do they have that's nice? What do they lack? Etc.

Gotcha. Probably can't help much then. I'm personally not real high on staying in town, now that they've got the gondola to get back and forth, but that's about as much as I can offer.
