Has anyone encountered a problem problem recently earn points show on the app, main VA website and velocity website.
But when you go to book a reward flight, the old points balance is still displaced?

Are the systems not linked? and don't update over the weekend.

Give them a quick call and they can refresh your points balance instantly.
That's how I have been doing the past few months to book rewards flights.
