Booking not eligible for upgrade?

Booking not eligible for upgrade?
Hi all, Newbie here, We are flying to Fiji for our wedding on a Virgin Getaway class fare - which according to their policy is an eligible class for upgrade via points. I bought the tickets then tried to use the points for an upgrade, but the website says 'This booking is not eligible for Upgrades using Velocity Frequent Flyer Points". Any suggestions what I am doing wrong please?

I just checked a getaway fare going to PNG and it shows upgrades available. So I would suggest calling VA, sometimes the website just doesn't work as it should.

How/where did you buy the tickets? Directly from VA or from an OLTA?
