VA PlusPass question

I'm not sure if this is the right place for the question. Mods please feel free to move if appropriate.

I'm planning a trip to Oz next year. My wife and I will be booking flights on TG from Europe, booked with UA miles. We are planning on flying a few domestic segments on VA: PER-BNE, BNE-CNS, AYQ-SYD and I thought the VA PP might be a good option for us, but I'm not sure if we can even book a PP with this itinerary.

Here's what I have found out so far, from the VA website:

- "Virgin Australia PlusPass is available to international agents based in United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East, Africa, South Asian Subcontinent, South East Asia and Japan/Korea to sell to residents only. Virgin Australia PlusPass is not available to agents based in America and Australia/New Zealand/South West Pacific."
- Most international carriers are eligible but there are exceptions.

What I don't know and would like to find out is:

- can I book this since our inbound travel is an award travel and issued on UA stock.
- is it worth it to book it?
- if yes to both, do I just need to find a travel agent who would be willing to book this for me?

Thank you in advance for your help!

You may need to communicate with a travel agent.

I've never heard of this pass before! From what I can research, the international segment does not have to be a VA flight. So that is good, but it isn't clear which international carriers qualify.

It sounds like you'll need a TA regardless. The below info may be helpful to give to your TA.

Thank you both for your responses. After talking to a TA and VA I was informed that this can only be booked through a TA, but only when the whole trip is booked through a TA, which means since I'm flying on an award ticket to/from Australia, I am not able to book the pass.
