Air Nz ticketed, virgin operated check in
Hi all
I have a query about virgin operated, air Nz booked flights.
My melb based Fianceé flies out on Monday mornings on the 6.30am Akl-Mel virgin flight and I always have to drop her before 5am so she can meet the check in cut off (as mentioned in the app)
is is there any better way? She has carry on only it would be great for her to be able to ignore the check in cut off !

Why does she just not use online check-in?
This is a question better asked in the Virgin forum though since the service is not operated by NZ so has nothing to do with them.

She's not flying NZ so can't check in with NZ which is why it doesn't show up.
The flight is with VA so you check in with VA at the airport and use their online check-in.

By "booked" I presume you mean "marketed"; i.e. NZ flight number on VA metal.
Often this can cause problems with OLCI facilities and it may not be possible.
Without any bags to check, using the counter being checked in 60 minutes before the flight should be fine, but no later.

Try buying from VA. International check-in opens 24hrs prior. Don't leave it until the last minute to check-in.
The face-to-face check-in is 60 mins, not 90 despite what the apps say.
