Lounge access LAX for VA8
Ms Platy is travelling LAX-BNE on VA8 later this week - can anyone confirm that the current arrangement for lounge access for business class travellers on that flight is to use the Emirates lounge (VA lounge access seems to be somewhat dynamic)?
Many thanks....

The LAX lounge arrangements have been pretty much locked in since around June last year.
No more EY lounge, just "International Lounge" for VA6 morning flight PAX and EK for those on the other (all evening) flights.

Yep, it was the Emirates lounge.
Ms Platy declared the lounge to be good and (for her tastes) preferable to the LAX Star Alliance offering.
Also, she ranked the VA business class above the trans-Pacific offerings of both Qantas and Air NewZealand.
FWIW the VA website is outdated in some regards - e.g. still showing bonus point promotion on HKG flights which expired 5 days ago...
The VA flight was the outcome of schedule changes on NZ - a happy outcome despite nearly 2.5 hours of combined call waiting on the NZ call centre phones to resolve the revised itinerary (first call dropped out after 1 hour hold, the second I had to give up after about 20 minutes and the third was answered after close to another hour)
